Three Arrested on Morningside Drive

On Thursday, May 10 at approximately 4 p.m., Sandersville Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit joined forces with the Patrol Division to execute a search warrant at 306 Morningside Drive in Sandersville.

Law enforcement searched a shed on the property where officers located a quantity of suspected ecstasy, a quantity of suspected Xanax not in its original container, marijuana, two digital scales, and baggies.

A search warrant was also obtained for the residence. Officers located a loaded .380 caliber pistol in close proximity to a quantity of marijuana and a large quantity of U.S. currency in a bedroom.  Officers also located an AR-15 semi-automatic weapon in the bedroom along with 556/223 rounds and a large quantity of baggies.

Three were taken into custody including Christopher Reynolds of Sandersville, Christopher Williams of Tennille, and Deandre Burke of Tennille. They are all charged with possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute. In addition to those charges, Christopher Reynolds is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

To date, the Sandersville Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit has averaged one search warrant per month. According to Capt. Ken Parker with the Sandersville Police Department, the last two have resulted in the seizure of three firearms.
