Ms. Sandra Evon Jones, gained her wings on Thursday, December 20, 2018, with her family by her side at Augusta University Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Georgia Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Roy Grissom officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
Ms. Jones was born on January 1, 1962 to the parentage of Mrs. Amanda Hall and the late Mr. Oscar Jones, Sr.
She graduated from Washington County High School. Sandra was employed in Wrightsville, Georgia where she worked dutifully for many years. Most of her leisure time was devoted to her mother, daughter, family, helping others and giving her “Dr. Phil” advice.
Her humor, straight forwardness, compassion and determination would enlighten any moment. She was truly loved and blessed in so many ways.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather: Mr. Dave Hall; and brothers: Mr. Jackie Jones, Mr. Michael “Hank” Jones and Mr. Oscar Jones, Jr.
Ms. Jones leaves cherished memories to her dearest daughter: Ms. Latasha Watson, Tennille, Georgia; granddaughter: Miss Aubree Foster, Tennille, Georgia; beloved mother: Mrs. Amanda Hall, Bartow, Georgia; sisters: Ms. Carol Cordy, Perry, Georgia, Ms. Shirley Jones, Ms. Jessie Mae Armstrong, Ms. Regina Jones, Tennille, Georgia; brothers: Mr. Keith Bryant, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Ricky (Debra) Jones, Davisboro, Georgia, Mr. Luscious (Kimberly) Jones, Mr. Randy Jones, Tennille, Georgia; god daughter: Ms. Shaliyah Hooks, Tennille, Georgia; aunts: Mrs. Annie Laura (Freeman) Riddle, Davisboro, Georgia, Ms. Bernice Salter, Jacksonville, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
