Travis Lee Claxton, age 21, of Tennille, died Friday, December 28, 2018.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in Kite Cemetery in Johnson County.  Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Mark White, Michael Spires, Tyerion Smith, Joshua Burden, Dylan Braddy and Lesley McDaniel.

Travis was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County.  He was a graduate of Washington County High School and employed by W.A. Kendall Line Clearance Company.  Travis loved the outdoors.   Fishing and hunting, riding dirt roads, the river and listening to music were his favorite things to do.  His memory will be cherished by family and friends forever.  Travis is predeceased by his father, Otis Claxon Jr.

Survivors include his mother, Tammy Page of Sandersville; grandparents, Otis Claxton Sr. and Marie Gee Claxton of Tennille and Dorothy Claxton of Alaska; siblings, Ashley Berneche and her husband Kyle Yates, Bud Brown and his wife Shelly all of Tennille, Brandi Claxton and Otis Claxton III and his wife Daphne all of Sandersville; a special uncle, Johnny Weaver of Tennille and his aunt Kimberly Sue Nesbitt of Alaska; special friend, Cheryl Marshall of Sandersville and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the Claxton residence on Harts Ford Road and they will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
