Mrs. Catherine Howell Stokely, age 95, of Warthen, died Thursday, January 03, 2019. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5th, at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Methodist Church with burial in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Reverend Don Black will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dillon Everett, Taylor Everett, Danny Howell, Wade Howell, Ricky Sheppard and Al Woods.
Mrs. Stokely was born in Sandersville, the daughter of the late Joshua F. Howell and the late Katherine Drake Howell. For many years, Catherine and her husband Bob resided in Atlanta where she was a homemaker and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. While retired in Washington County, she became a member of Pine Hill Methodist Church and was a faithful volunteer at Heritage Inn Nursing Home. Mrs. Stokely is predeceased by her husband Robert S. “Bob” Stokely and her sons, Robert S. “Bobby” Stokely Jr. and John David Stokely.
Mrs. Stokely is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as her care giver and niece, Betty K. Everett and her husband Lester of Warthen.

The family will be at the Everett residence on Hwy. 102, Warthen and they will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Church.
