On Monday morning, March 4, 2019 at Serenity Hospice Care, Dublin, GA, Mrs. Susie Brown was called home by our Heavenly father. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Dixon Grove Church of God In Christ with Elder Jeremiah Wooten officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
She was born on August 12, 1934 in Washington County, GA to the parentage of the later Mr. Henry Bouyer and late Mrs. Sunnie Darrisaw Bouyer.
At an early age, she joined Dixon Grove Church of God In Christ and served faithfully until her health failed. She was a 1958 graduate of T.J. Elder High School. On April 23, 1966 she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Joseph Brown, Jr. For many years she was employed y Morrison Food Service.
Mrs. Brown was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Mother Alma Cason and brother: Mr. Marion Hurst, Sr.
Mrs. Brown leaves to cherish her memories, three devoted daughters: Mrs. Sandy (Franklin) Gay, Mrs. Terri Cannida (Kenneth), Sandersville, GA, Ms. Twanda Brown, Tennille, GA; two sisters: Mother Eula Mae Bell, Tennille, GA, Mother Willie Ruth Merrell, Oconee, GA; three sisters-in-law: Pastor Hattie Pearl Hagans, Sister Annie L. Williams, Vero Beach, FL, Sister Gloria Hunter, Boston, MA; one brother-in-law: Brother James Hagans, Jr., Vero Beach, FL; fifteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
