Mr. Jackson Wiley “J.W.” Williford, age 86, of Thomson, died Wednesday, March 06, 2019.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Kendell Heights Church of God with Reverend Bobby Williford, Reverend Bobby Farmer and Reverend Stacey Williford officiating.   Burial will be in White Oak Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lamb, Troy Williford, Dwight Reese, Ken Williford, Steve Williford and Stanley Williford.

Mr. Williford was born in Jefferson County, the son of the late Hartwell W. Williford and Florrie Mae Newsome Williford. He spent his working career as an auto body shop owner formerly owning and operating Williford’s Body Shop, the Sandersville Body Shop, both in Sandersville and J.W.’s Body shop in Thomson.  Mr. Williford was a longtime member of Kendall Heights Church of God in Sandersville and attended Thomson Church of God.  He possessed a great love of music, playing the guitar and enjoying family sings.  Family was a great priority with J.W. and family gatherings were his favorite thing to do.   He is predeceased by his son, Wilbur Williford.

Survivors are his wife, Anna H. Williford of Thomson; children, Jay Williford and his wife Kim of Sandersville and Elaine Register and her husband Jeff of Macon; grandchildren, Stephanie Marshall, Christopher Williford and his wife Tarrah, Brandon Williford and his wife Jamie, Angle Todd and her husband Thomas, Brandon Register, Steven Register and his wife Staci and Lauren Larrauri and her husband Tony; fifteen great grandchildren; and siblings, Terrell Williford and his wife Helen of Gibson, Jeanette Jenkins and her husband Charlie of Grovetown, Dorris Smith of Sandersville, Catherine Norris and her husband James of Sandersville, Wanda Currie and her husband W.L. of Dublin and Wayne Williford and his wife Mavis of Warthen.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
