Corilla Everett Weaver, age 72, of Macon died on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Heritage Inn of Sandersville following an extended illness.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at 11:00 A. M. at Deepstep United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.  Reverend Stan Bellew, Reverend Larry Giles, and Reverend Paul Harris will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Julian Archer, Adrian Ashley, Allen Everett, Bruce Everett, Keith Everett, Ken Everett, Stacy Everett, and Dwaine Potter.

Mrs. Weaver was born in Deepstep, Georgia, the youngest of six children.  She was the daughter of the late Roy Bernard Everett, Sr. and the late Mary Frances Giles Everett.  She grew up in Washington County and attended Deepstep Elementary School and graduated from Washington County High School in 1965.  After graduation, she moved to Macon, Georgia and attended Crandall School of Business.  At the age of 19, she became employed by Citizens and Southern National Bank in Macon, Georgia.   On December 1, 1967, she married Henry Lester Weaver (Hank) of Macon at the Methodist parsonage in Tennille, Georgia. She was a member of the Deepstep United Methodist Church.

Early in her working career, she became the caregiver for her husband.  She was dedicated to her job and in those years of caring for her husband, she rarely missed work.  In her over 40 years in the banking industry, she worked in the Operations Department of several different financial institutions, with the last being State Bank.

She loved her family, the people of Deepstep and her neighbors in Macon.  Before her illness, she would come back to the homeplace and visit with loved ones.  She was the one who carried on the tradition of the Giles Reunion in Deepstep, which first began as a celebration of her grandmother’s birthday.  She also loved her pets and working in her yards.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hank Weaver and her brother, Roy Bernard Everett, Jr.

Survivors include: her sister Ethel Ashley and husband Donald; brothers, Ostell Everett and his wife Eva Dell; Lamar Everett and his wife Joan, all of Sandersville, Lester Everett and his wife Betty of Warthen; sister-in-law, Lois Everett of Deepstep; and many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

The family will be at the Everett home-place in Deepstep at 1399 Old Eighty-Five Road on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
