WILLIAM CLEAVE “BILL” MILLER

William Cleave “Bill” Miller of Orlando, Florida, entered into eternal rest after a brief illness on August 5, 2019. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17th at 11:00 a.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel.  Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate.  The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.

Bill was born and raised in Sandersville, the son of the late Cleave B. Miller and Frances Ivey Miller.  He is also predeceased by his brother, John Ivey Miller.  Bill was a graduate of Washington County High School where he played the clarinet as well as the saxophone.  He was a member of the Hawks Tennis Team, a sport that he continued and enjoyed throughout is life.  Following high school, Bill attended the University of Georgia and served in the Georgia National Guard. Bill was a former co-owner of B & L Warehouse in Athens prior to working with the Georgia Department of Transportation and Moreland – Altobelli and Associates.  Lastly, Bill was employed as a vice president with American Acquisitions Group in Orlando Fl.

Bill was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for his generous nature and the best delectable surprises in the mail. Bill was an avid lover of animals and known for his ability to create specialty drinks.

Bill is survived by his brother, Roan Miller and his wife Lynn of Sandersville, nephews, Bivins Miller and his wife Danielle of Richmond Hill, Harley Miller and his wife Mallory of Forsyth, Matthew Miller of Sandersville, nieces, Ivey Benson and her husband Allen of Forsyth, Magan Bell and her husband Kerry  of Bogart, Maggie Miller of Dallas, Texas and Mary Frances Miller of Sandersville and 11 great nieces and nephews.
