Mrs. Ethel Gibbons Smith departed this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Hatcher officiating.
She was born in Louisville, Georgia on January 6, 1927 to the late Ms. Lucy Gibbons
Mrs. Smith attended the public schools of Jefferson County. For several years, she was an assembly line worker for The Enterprise Aluminum Company in Eatonton, Georgia. She enjoyed going to church, thrift shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Brigham Smith; and granddaughter: Ms. Jeddis D. Dixon
Mrs. Smith leaves cherished memories to her son: Mr. Robert Lee White, Sandersville, Georgia; five grandchildren: Ms. Gladine Dixon, Davisboro, Georgia, Ms. Mary White, Mr. Louis Dixon, Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Joseph Daniels, Wadley, Georgia, Mrs. Karen Collins-Lovett, Louisville, Georgia; fourteen (14) grandchildren; thirty seven (37) great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
