EMANUEL WILLIAMS, JR.

Mr. Emanuel Williams, Jr., affectionately known as “Sane” or “E-man”, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, answered the call of our Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 15, 2019, then peacefully transitioned into eternal rest at the Providence Healthcare in Sparta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Bold Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Charlie Herman Wiggins and the late Ms. Vilene Williams on May  31, 1957.  Emanuel was the second eldest child of both parents.

At a very early age, he accepted Christ in his life and  joined the Bold Spring Baptist Church, where he attended until he moved away from home.

He attended the public schools of Washington County, Georgia, graduating in the Class of 1975 from Washington County High School. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia and remained until his health began to fail.

Emanuel was employed with the Sheraton Atlanta Airport Hotel for thirty two(32) years, holding several positions until his health untimely began to decline. Emanuel would later meet and unite in holy matrimony to Mrs. Patricia A. Williams, and to that union, one child was born.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Mr. Charlie Lee Poole.

The memories he leaves behind will forever be cherished by his wife: Mrs. Patricia Williams, Forest Park, Georgia; two sons: Mr. Nikolaus E. Williams, Mr. Tony Cole, Forest Park, Georgia; seven sisters: Mrs. Patricia (Jimmie)  Johnson, Lithonia, Georgia, Ms. Debra (Leroy) Williams, Conyers, Georgia; Ms. Yvette Reese, Tucker, Georgia, Ms. Shirley M. Brown, Ms. Janice L. Pierce, and Ms. Charlene Wiggins, Mrs. Brenda McDonald, Sandersville, GA;  seven  brothers: Mr. Bobby Lee (Diane) Williams, Mr. Donnie Williams,  Mr. Eric Williams, Mr. Jason Williams, Mr. Clay Williams, Dr. Earl Wiggins, Sandersville, Georgia, Minister Glenn (Alice) Stafford, Wadley, Georgia; mother-in-law: Ms. Thelma   Williams, Selma, Alabama; four sisters-in-law: Mrs. Joanne Poole, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Linda William, Ms. Marilyn Williams, Forest Park, Georgia,  Mrs. Glenda (MacArthur) Towns, Selma, Alabama; one brother-in-law: Mr. Antonio (Christa) Williams, Selma, Alabama; two aunts: Ms. Mary Alice Martin, Soperton, Georgia, Ms. Ida Mae Freeman, Sandersville, Georgia; three uncles: Mr. Roosevelt (Ola) Wiggins, Raleigh, North Carolina, Mr. Lee Arthur (Ruby) Williams, Mr. Clarence Williams, Sandersville Georgia; god-brother: Mr. Steven Jackson, Sandersville, Georgia;  devoted friend and roommate: Mr. Cedric Walton, Forest Park, Georgia;  a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends.
