Mrs. Brenda Hurt Fout, age 71, of Sandersville died Sunday, January 26, 2020 following an extended illness.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Reverend Fred Garrett will officiate.

Mrs. Fout was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a longtime employee of Royal Manufacturing where she worked as a seamstress.  Brenda was a lover of animals especially her dogs.  She also loved music, Elvis and Conway Twitty being two of her favorite artists.  Brenda was a collector of wind chimes and of dolls. She is predeceased by her father, James Louie Hurt and her brother Bill Hurt.

Survivors are her husband, Ronald G. Fout of Sandersville; mother, Virginia L. Smith of Sandersville; children, William Harvey Smith of Savannah, Milton Eric Smith and his wife Jennifer and Belinda Foster all of Sandersville; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and siblings, Lillian Bridges of Sandersville, Peggy Storey and her husband Bill of Thomaston, Mack Smith and his wife Michelle and Alan Smith and his wife Ramona all of Tennille and Lynn Smith of Sandersville.

The family may be contacted at the home of Eric and Jennifer Smith on North Anderson Dr., Sandersville and they will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
