Mrs. MayBell Meeks Anderson, age 92, of Tennille died on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 1, at Antioch Christian Church in Oconee with burial in the Antioch Church Cemetery.  Reverend Tom Howard and Reverend Johnny Anderson will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Mark Snider, Don Wilson, Thomas Snider, Casey Youngblood, Josh Jelks, Paul Anderson and Scott Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Henry Meeks and the late Thelma Godfrey Meeks.  She was the wife of the late Thomas Harrel Anderson.  Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Harrel Anderson, Jr.; a granddaughter, Michelle Snider; a son in law, Bill Snider; and her siblings: John Henry Meeks, Jesse Meeks, James Meeks, Ruby McDaniel, Mattie Pearl Stephens and Adell Smith.   Mrs. Anderson was homemaker and a member of the Antioch Christian Church.

Survivors are her two daughters, Cora Anderson Snider and Katie Anderson Armor both of Oconee; nine grandchildren: Paul Anderson, Scott Anderson, Donald Wilson, (Cassie), Elizabeth Youngblood (Casey), Thomas Snider (Ashley), Mark Snider (Kim), Kaleigh Jelks (Adam), and Anna Solomon (Mark); sixteen great grandchildren; three sisters: Katherine Jones, Mary Barrow and Sarah Adams all of Milledgeville; and a daughter in law, Claudette Anderson of Warthen.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday.
