Mr. Charlie Hall Jr., passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services were held privately with family.  Interment was held in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Mr. Charlie Hall, Jr.  was born on May 2, 1949 to the parentage of the late Mr. Charlie Hall and the late Mrs. Henrietta Hall in Palatka, Florida. He was reared in Tampa, Florida and Newark, New Jersey where he attended the public schools. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1968. During high school Charlie was an Eagle Scout and a certified life guard.

After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served one tour in Vietnam as an amphibious assault vehicle operator. When he returned home from Vietnam, Charlie landed a job with the Government Printing Office as a Pressman and retired in 2002 with thirty one (31) years of service. In his early years, Charlie was very active; he played semi pro football with the Washington DC Bears, he skied with the Black Skiers Club and was a certified scuba diver. He enjoyed biking, motorcycling, cooking and entertaining. Charlie joined Holly Spring Baptist Church in 2008 where he was an active member of the Sunshine Club. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Ms. Gertrude Strecker, Ms. Doris Everett and Ms. Jean Grimes.

Memories of Charlie will be cherished by his wife: Mrs. Edith Jackson Hall, Warthen, Georgia; daughter: Ms. Kimberly Hall, Albany, Georgia; two sons: Mr. Xzavier Hall, Albany, Georgia, Mr. Charlie Hall, Eastpointe, Georgia;  one sister: Ms. Charlean Ellis (Carl Phillips), Conyers, Georgia; four sisters-in-law: Ms. Teresa Jackson, Warthen, Georgia, Ms. Juliet Jackson, Dublin, Georgia, Mrs. Vanessa (Eddie) Roberts, Hinesville, Georgia, Ms. Virginia Jones, McDonough, Georgia; nine aunts: Ms. Carrie Boss, Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Hattie Hall, Ms. Gladys Murray. Ms. Shervy Wiley, Ms. Elizabeth Robinson, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Barbara Glover, Sparta, Georgia, Mrs. Lucille (Doyle) Walker, Fort Worth, Texas, Ms. Dorothy Webb, Fairburn, Georgia, Ms. Thelma Jackson, Newnan, Georgia; two uncles: Mr. Marion (Pearline) Wiley, Warthen, Georgia, Mr. Walter (Louvenia) Wiley, Decatur, Georgia; devoted niece: Ms. Erica Raines, Milledgeville, Georgia; devoted nephew: Mr. Charles Hawkins, Lithonia, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.
