Mrs. Ruth Norris Jackson, age 86, of Warthen, formerly of Riddleville, quietly passed away on May 12 after an extended illness.

A private graveside service for family only will be held in New Bethel Church Cemetery. Reverend M. D. Cabe and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mrs. Jackson was born on September 24, 1933.  She was the daughter of the late Ovie Norris and the late Helen Davis Norris.  She was the wife of the late Milton Russell Jackson.  She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sandra Ruth Jackson; a special son, Frankie Maurier; sisters, Linda Phillips Elrod, Marie Massey, Gladys Sain; and a brother, Willie Norris.  Mrs. Jackson retired from Washington County Regional Medical Center, formerly Washington County Memorial Hospital after thirty-two years with Morrison Cafeterias. She will always be remembered for her sweet laugh and wonderful personality. She loved everybody and everybody loved her.

Survivors are her children, Judy Jackson Youngblood and her husband Casey of Milledgeville and Marsha Jackson Glover of Lake Sinclair; grandchildren, Benjamin Walker and his wife Shelly, Sheila Decker, Captain William Casey Youngblood and his wife Elizabeth, Michael Maurier and Matthew Maurier; nine great grandchildren: Hope glover, Caroline Glover, Walker Jude Glover, Wesley Ferrell, Noah Lewis, Trey Youngblood and Ava Grace Youngblood; and several nieces and nephews and special cousins.

The family wishes to extend many thanks to Chaplinwood Nursing Home, Heritage Inn Nursing Home, and Greenwood Place in Wrightsville for their care for Mrs. Jackson.
