Mrs. Glenda Knight Harrell passed away in Fairfax, Virginia on May 18, 2020 from complications of a brain tumor.  A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Tennille Baptist Church. Everyone is encouraged to wear something red because that was her favorite color. She will never be forgotten by her loving, caring way for others, as well as her great wit and humor.

Mrs. Harrell was born in Washington County, Georgia on January 1, 1943 and was the daughter of the late L. O. “Mutt” Knight and Christine Cox Knight. She was preceded also by an infant son, Lance Ezell and spouse, Ron Murphy.

Mrs. Harrell was an active member of Davisboro United Methodist Church. She also was active in the Davisboro Methodist UMW, Church Choir and the Tennille Womans Club. She was a previous member of the Hopewell Methodist Church, Milledgeville Pilot Club, Volunteer in the Oconee Regional Gift Shop, Town and Country Garden Club and Sorosis Club of Washington Co. Mrs. Harrell graduated in 1960 from Washington County High School and graduated from Crandall Business College in Macon. Upon graduation she was employed by Georgia Department of Labor where she retired.

It was her delight to remember others whether with a card, a gift or a telephone call. She always looked forward to seeing old and new friends. She loved reading, dancing, traveling, gardening and if there was a baby around she would be holding and loving them.

A wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, she is survived by her daughter, Dana Jackson (Darren Johnston), Fairfax, VA, son, David Ezell, New York City, NY and the light of her light – her granddaughter, Isabella Jackson, Fairfax, VA her sister, Dale Anderson, Sandersville her niece, Joy Anderson (Brett) Brown , Sandersville her nephew, Ashley Anderson , Atlanta and her great nieces, Eva (Jake) Tanner, Tennille and Elisa Brown , Sandersville . A special aunt, Carol Knight of Johnston, SC. A special niece from a previous marriage, Dottie Moody. Many cousins and wonderful friends.
