DEACON BEVERLY DUNN

Deacon Beverly Dunn, formerly of Harrison, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Hephzibah. Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Harrison Cemetery with Reverend Dr. James A. Hogan officiating.

Deacon Dunn was born on March 19, 1955 to the parentage of the late Mr. Andrew James Dunn and the late Mrs. Reddie Mae Dunn. He graduated from Washington County High School in 1973 and went on to serve eight years in the United States Army. He was a faithful member of the New Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Augusta for over thirty years. On February 2, 2012, he was ordained as a Deacon. Throughout the years, he also served as an advisor for the Royal Ambassadors, Chairman of the Trustee Ministry, and enjoyed singing in the Male Chorus. Deacon Dunn had a host of hobbies, which included being outdoors. He enjoyed restoring old vehicles so much that he made it a business. On October 8, 1999, he married Mrs. Patricia Landers Dunn in Sandersville.

Deacon Dunn leaves cherished memories to his beloved wife, Mrs. Patricia Dunn; children, Mr. McKendrick (Kenya) Dunn, Mr. Ryan (Lorna) Dunn, Mr. Marcus (Jade) Dunn, Mr. Jerald Stephens, and Mrs. Patrilla (Mario) Johnson; siblings, Ms. Geraldine Ingram, Ms. Elizabeth Horton, Mrs. Pauline (Thomas) Hagans, Mr. Edward (Ellen) Dunn, Mr. Robert James Dunn, Ms. Ruby Williams, Ms. Joyce Ann Dunn, Mrs. Gloria (Marshall) Haynes, and Ms. Patricia Ann Dunn; brothers-in-law, Mr. Lindsey (Joann) Landers, Mr. Thomas Landers, and Mr. Larry (Shirley) Landers; sister-in-law: Mrs. Mary Landers; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
