Mr. John Gregory Everett, age 60, of Warthen, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday May 1 in the Pine Hill Methodist Church in Warthen with burial in the Pine Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Don Black will officiate. Pallbearers will be Adrian Ashley, Alan Everett, Bruce Everett, Ken Everett, Stacey Everett, Jamie Reynolds, Ricky Sheppard, and Al Woods.
Greg was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a graduate of Glascock County Consolidated Schools. Greg was an exceptional artist. He was an avid Donnie and Marie Osmond fan and had numerous pen pals. Above all, Greg loved and cherished his family.
Survivors include his parents, Lester Everett and Betty K. Everett of Warthen; a brother, Keith Everett and his wife Debra of Warthen; a sister, Lorri Everett Peterson and her husband Pete of Burlington, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Taylor Everett, Dillon Everett, Shelby Everett and Kendall Peterson; a great niece, Beverly Everett; and his loyal cat, Itsy Bitsy.
The family suggest that donations be made to Pine Hill Methodist Church, 2102 Bay Springs Road, Warthen, Georgia 31094 or to the Washington County Alzheimer’s Family Support Group, 6703 Highway 68 South, Tennille, Georgia 31089.
