Citizens Bank of the South and the Washington County community are in mourning following a fatal UTV crash that occurred over the weekend.

According the Georgia State Patrol’s preliminary investigative findings, the single-vehicle crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 18 on New Bethel Road in Washington County.

The preliminary investigative findings indicated that 42-year-old Heather S. Frazier of Bartow was driving a Polaris Ranger pulling a trailer that was loaded with an ATV and a lawn mower; she was negotiating a curve when the trailer began to sway back and forth causing her to lose control of the Polaris Ranger. The Polaris Ranger jackknifed and exited the roadway and overturned. 42-year-old Frazier suffered fatal injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.

Frazier was a native of Washington County; she served as the Compliance Officer at Citizens Bank of the South.

In the memory of Ms. Frazier and her love of the Christmas season, Citizens Bank has established a “Heather’s Christmas” event to raise funds for two local charities: First Love Kids and the Washington County Empty Stocking Fund. Donations may be made at any Citizens Bank of the South location, by PayPal, or by scanning/tapping the QR code below.

Funeral services for Heather Frazier will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22 at New Bethel Baptist Church near Riddleville with burial at New Bethel Church Cemetery. Reverend Marty Deal and Reverend Andy Carter will officiate.
