
Mrs. Reba Waters Brown, age 93, of Tennille passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Augusta University Medical Center. A graveside funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, February 15, at 11:00 A.M. in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Sandersville. Brother Jammy Carrington will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service in the Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Charlie Waters and Maude Caraway Waters. She was the wife of the late Felton Brown. Reba was a homemaker and a former employee of the Washington Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Brown was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness. She was dedicated fan of the 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves. Reba enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, gardening, tending to her chickens, bird watching, and fishing. Above all, Mrs. Brown loved her family. Reba was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Ellis; son-in-law, Tommy West; and siblings, Delia Denton, M.C. Waters, I.J. Waters, and Mary Lanthrip.
Survivors include her children, Faye West, Janie Brantley and her husband Randolph, Franky Ellis and his wife Lutrell, and Ricky Ellis and his wife Charlene; daughter-in-law, Gayle Ellis; grandchildren, Tracey McCaskill and her husband John Dean, Bryan West, Jammy McCoy and his wife Shalena, Joey Ellis, Heather Ellis, and Ricky Ellis, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Lynsie McCaskill, Emily Carver and her husband Tyler, Easton West, Ridge McCoy, Emilee McCoy, Bailey McCoy, Audrey Ellis, J.J. Ellis, Anna Beth Ellis, Parker Ellis, Bailey Craighead, Chase Ellis, Otin Ellis, and Mason Ellis; and great-great-grandchild, John Parker Carver.
