Mrs. Barbara Little Duggan, age 76, of Tennille passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. A graveside funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, October 3 at 2:00 P.M. in the Zeta Cemetery of Tennille. Reverend Andy Yates and Reverend Dr. Brian Welch will officiate.
Mrs. Duggan was born and reared in Milledgeville, the daughter of the late Woodrow Little and the late Edna Lord Little. She was a graduate of the Baldwin High School and attended the Georgia College for Women before beginning her working career in finance. Barbara married John Duggan in 1966 and relocated to Tennille to raise their family. Mrs. Duggan was formerly employed by Bank South and retired from the Queensboro National Bank and Trust branch in Tennille. She also worked as Bookkeeper for her business, Duggan Hardware. Barbara was a longtime and active member of the Tennille Baptist Church, where she sang in the Adult Choir and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union and Carl Forester Sunday School Class. Mrs. Duggan enjoyed watching sports and supporting her children and grandchildren during their athletic endeavors. She and her husband loved to travel and entertain family and friends with a good meal.
Survivors include her husband, John T. Duggan, Jr.; sons, Tom Duggan and wife Wendy of Tennille and Shane Duggan and wife Kara of Tennille; grandchildren, Callie, Thomas, Madalyn, Haley, Skylee, and Bristol; great-granddaughter, Paisley; and sister, Faye Little of Milledgeville.
The family is located at the Duggan residence on Club Forest Drive in Tennille.
