Mr. Leon Lawrence, Sr., passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18 at 12:00 P.M. in the New Gardners Church of God in Christ of Oconee with Superintendent Evan Brown officiating. Interment will be held in the Georgia Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Florence I. Lawrence of Tennille: children, Ricardo Lawrence and wife Fenicia of Sandersville, Phoebe Lawrence of Atlanta, and Leon Lawrence, Jr. of Tennille; sisters: Shirley King, Pearlie Brown and husband Evans of Macon, and Marian Burnett and husband Johnny of Jacksonville; brothers, Albert James Lawrence and wife Gail of Atlanta, Irving Lawrence of Macon, and David Michael Lawrence of Macon; mother-in-law, Earlie Mae Fuller of Sandersville; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
