A drug bust in Tennille has led to the arrest of one man.
Last Thursday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Middle Georgia Gang Taskforce, and Georgia Department of Community Supervision executed a search warrant at a residence on North Main Street.
According to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran, deputies seized a quantity of drugs that included methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and ecstasy pills. A firearm was also confiscated from the home.
Timothy Williams, 46 years old, of Tennille was arrested and charged with separate possession and distribution felonies for each drug. He also received felony charges for drug trafficking and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
“The Washington County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting our community and ensuring the safety of every resident. We will continue to tirelessly work to combat the sale and distribution of illegal drugs,” said Sheriff Cochran. “Our mission is clear: to create a safe and secure environment where families can thrive and neighbors can look out for one another. This is a team effort, and we thank our community members for their ongoing support and vigilance in helping us achieve this goal.”
