Nick Sanders, Senior at Washington County High School, signed his letter of intent on Wednesday, February 15, to play his collegiate football at Mars HillCollege near Asheville, North Carolina. Sanders, seen above surrounded by family, educators, and coaches, was a standout free safety on the Golden Hawks squad and plans to make an immediate impact at the same position during his college playing days. Sanders told his decision was not based purely on Mars Hill’s outstanding football program, but also on their highly rated academics. Nick Sanders joins Sara Carter (softball) and Ashley Ivey (track) among Washington County Seniors to sign athletic scholarships for their college years.
