Mrs. Shannon Rhodes Everett, age 48, of Tennille died Saturday, October 26, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer.  A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Sandersville with the burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Reverend Gary Mimbs, Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Lee Lacey will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Kim Kitchens, Robert Cook, George Spires, Caughey Joiner, Tony French, Ben Wolfe, Sammy Knight, Brent Johnson, Trey Sheppard, Jon Moore, Cliff Sheppard, Chuck Gheesling and Andy Orr. The Brentwood Football Team will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Shannon was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County.  She was a 1989 graduate of Brentwood School and a 1991 graduate of Swainsboro Technical School as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Shannon possessed a true love of people and it showed in the way she nurtured and cared for her patients. She formerly worked for the Washington County Regional Medical Center, several local private medical practices, with the Oconee Nursing Home and lastly as a home health care nurse for Encompass.  The light and joy of her life was her family, especially her children. She was an avid supporter of any endeavor that they chose spending countless hours at Brentwood School events.  One of her favorite hobbies was putting together scrap books that chronicled each of her kids’ lives.  Her memory will truly be cherished by so many. Her brother, Wesley Allen Rhodes and grandparents J.W. and Barbara Rhodes and Zeke Chapman all predecease Shannon.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Lamar Everett; children, Seth Colby Everett and his wife Toshia of Harrisburg IL, Colton Drew Everett, Alyssa Hope Everett, Chase Holden Everett, and Caleb Luke Everett; grandchildren, Hayden S. Everett, Harlee B. Everett, Hunter F. Everett, and Zane C. Everett; mother, Sandra Chapman Simpson; father, Johnny Rhodes, Jr.; step-mother, Rose Buchannan; siblings, Rusty Rhodes and his wife Belinda and Crystal Weyrauch and her husband John; and grandmother, Bessie Chapman Summerlin.

The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Everett on West Church Street in Sandersville.
