Mr. Jason Turner, age 49, of Nevils, died Monday, May 25, 2020 in Memorial Hosptial in Savannah following a brief illness. A public graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th at 2:00 p.m. in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille following social distancing practices. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in numbers of 10 or less at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville. The family may be contacted also on Wednesday starting at 3:00 p.m. at the home of Stuart and Dawn Turner 1830 Hwy. 68 South, Tennille.

Jason was born in Baldwin County and reared in Washington County. He was a 1989 graduate of Washington County High School and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Jason was a current resident of Nevils in Bulloch County where he worked as a sales representative for Georgia Surveyors Exchange. He was a lover of the outdoors enjoying hunting and fishing. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog and NASCAR fan. Some of his greatest joy came from cooking, especially grilling, for family and friends. Jason is predeceased by his father, David Turner and his stepfather, Edsel Shurling.

Survivors include his children, Taylor Turner of Dublin and Josh Turner of Sandersville; mother, Elaine S. Turner Shurling; brother, Stuart Turner and his wife Dawn all of Tennille, nieces and nephew, Tyler Turner, Kristen Turner and Jordan Lane and many extended family members.
