Mrs. DeAnne Zachary Roughton, age 77, of Eatonton, died April 3, 2020. A graveside memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.
Mrs. Roughton was a native of Chamblee Georgia the daughter of the late James Lawrence Zachary and the late Anne Brannon Zachary. She was a 1960 graduate of Chamblee High School and attended West Georgia College in Carrolton. She lived her life as a loving homemaker caring for her family. She along with her husband Bunky, lived in numerous locations throughout the US before retiring to Lake Oconee in 2005. She possessed a love of history and enjoyed visiting historical sites. Being near water and water sports were among her favorite hobbies.
Survivors include her husband, Paul E. “Bunky” Roughton; children, Jeffrey Roughton and his wife Shanni of Lunenburg Mass., Barry Roughton and his wife Karen of Ringwood NJ., and Paula R. Tubach and her husband Todd of Memphis, TN.; grandchildren, William Roughton, Nicholas Salvaggio, Amanda Roughton, McKenzie Roughton, Brooke Roughton, Tyler Roughton and Joshua Tubach; and brother, James Lawrence Zachary Jr. and his wife Sherry of Atlanta.
