Mr. Thomas Carswell affectionately known as “Shock” departed this life on August 31, 2020 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. Graveside services were held at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Tennille, Georgia on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiating. He was born on February 19, 1944 to the parentage of the late Mr. Walter Carswell and the late Mrs. Louise Jackson Carswell.

He attended the public school of Royal. He was employed by Burgess Pigment Company for twenty five (25) years until his health declined. Throughout his life, Thomas enjoyed watching western movies and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was well-known for his kind and humble spirit.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Mable Jackson Carswell.

Mr. Carswell leaves to cherish his memories, his twin brother: Mr. Tommie (Brenda) Carswell; two sisters: Ms. Juanita Laster, Haynes City, Florida, Ms. Artelia Dixon, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted nephew: Mr. Willie (Ann) Carswell; two sister-in-law: Mrs. Betty (Charles) Bloodsaw, Mrs. Gladys Jones, Sandersville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
