Brian Benjamin Dent, age 50, of Tennille, died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at his residence.  A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, October 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the Hitchcock Barn on Old Savannah Road with burial in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  Reverend Andy Yates will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Jammy McCoy, Darrel Dunn, Marty Cullens, Troy Lindsey, Rusty Rhodes, Vic Pulliam, Mike Yates, Tom Hutchins, Chad Tanner, Clayte Sheppard, Davis Matthews, Leon Murphy, Kevin Lindsey, Phil Wright, Frank Williams and Robbie Lane.

Brian was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County.  He was a 1989 graduate of Brentwood School where he loved football and track.  Following high school, he began a career in the Kaolin Industry prior to joining the Washington County Machine Shop Family as a heavy equipment operator, a job he excelled in and took great pride in.  He was baptized and attended the Friendship Baptist Church.  Brian was a lover of the outdoors, enjoying hunting, trapping beavers and hiking.  Brian, like his father, was a talented carpenter and loved to build.  He was an avid race fan from the dirt track to NASCAR and he was a faithful Georgia Bulldog.  He was a friend to many and a great loss to us all.  His father, Hub Dent, and siblings, Leslie Dent and Tammy Dent French all predecease Brian.

Survivors are his loving wife and soul mate, Ronda Wilson Dent; daughters, Brianna Dent of Milledgeville and Bridget Dent and her fiancé Jared J. Brooks of Avera; granddaughter to be, Brinley Grace Dent Brooks; mother, Annette S. Dent of Sandersville; and sister, Celeste Dent of Tennille.
