Mrs. Allie Brantley MacDonald, age 88, of Moye Drive in Sandersville, died Sunday, October 18, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness. A graveside memorial service will be on Wednesday, October 21st at 2:00 P.M. in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Lamar Brantley will officiate.

Mrs. MacDonald, affectionately known as “Bill” to family and friends, was born and reared in Oconee. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Roy Fowler and the late Georgia Johnson Fowler. She began her working career as a seamstress for Royal Manufacturing Company before finding her true purpose in life, being a caregiver. Mrs. MacDonald worked as a CNA for Central State Hospital from which she retired. In retirement, she continued her role as a caregiver in a Milledgeville group home. Mrs. MacDonald loved family and especially loved cooking for them. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husbands, Paul E. Brantley and Rogers MacDonald, as well as her daughter, Paulette Brantley Jones.

Survivors are her children, Angela B. Garnto, Jay Brantley, Emily B. Zaenglein, Jerry Brantley all of Sandersville and Craige Williamson of Dublin; grandchildren, Josh Garnto of Athens, Jessica Brantley of Demorest, Jacob Zaenglein of Sandersville, Seth Jones and his wife Whitney of Evans, Kaitlin Jones of Santa Rosa, California, Madison B. Rickman of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Hannah Brantley of Eatonton; and great grandchildren, Jackson Hartley, Harrison Jones, John Paul Jones and Kaden Brantley.

The family will receive friends following the graveside funeral service and they may be contact at the home of Angela Garnto on Moye Drive in Sandersville.
