
Mr. Ernest Lee Kennedy Jr., age 60, formerly of Brooklet, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 following an extended illness. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville with Reverend Ron Bracewell officiating.
Mr. Kennedy was born in New Orleans and reared in Buras LA., the son of the late Ernest Lee Kennedy Sr. and the late Shirley Page Hazelton Pollett. After graduating high school, Mr. Kennedy served in the US Navy where he learned to be a welder. For many years, he lived in Texas where he worked in the oil fields. While in Texas he met the loved of his life, his late wife, Mary Lou Rush Kennedy. Ernest and Mary Lou also lived in Kentucky prior to moving to Georgia where he worked as a truck driver.
Survivors are his siblings, Melody Capps of Collins, David Pollett and his wife Dawn of Wrightsville, Patrick Pollett of Springfield, Rancie Pollett of Kite, Billie Jo Hawkins and Mary Smith both of Wrightsville and many nieces and nephews.
