In the early hours on November 20, 2020 a soft and gentle heart stopped beating and a soul returned to our Creator.  Mrs. Virginia Ann Devero accepted her call at her residence in Wrightsville, Georgia.  Graveside services were held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Washington Memorial Garden, Highway 24 West, Sandersville, Georgia with Reverend Henry L. Tanner, officiating.

She was born on October 7, 1955 to the late Mrs. Carolyn and Arthur L. Armstrong, Sr.,  She was preceded in death by three brothers:  Mr. Arthur L. Armstrong, Jr., Mr. Harold Armstrong, Mr.  Stanley Armstrong; one sister, Mrs. Mary N. Alexander

Virginia enjoyed reading, fishing, and spending time with her family.  She retired from the State of Georgia after many years of  faithful service, due to her health.

Mrs. Devero leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 45 years., Mr. Danny Lee Devero, Wrightsville, GA;  her children:  Mrs. Shameatric (Cornelius) Simmons of Wrightsville, GA, Ms. Tremeka Devero (CChad, Sr.), Tennille, Georgia,, Mr.. Recardo (Cassandra) Devero, Sr., Wrightsville, GA;  nine grandchildren:  Ja’Corey Outlaw, Shakirra Walker, Jessica Carswell, Darnisha Pierrce,    Serenity Dixon, Recardo Devero, Jr., Chad Hurst, Jr., Rhianna Devero, and Zola Devero; five great grandchildren:  Skyla Walker, Ivery Outlaw, Bryston Carswell, Kayleigh Burden, and Mekhi Carswell;  three sisters;  Mrs. Barbara (Floyd, Sr) Tanner, Lithonia, GA, Ms. Charlene Strickland, Claxton, GA., Ms. Shenita Armstrong,  Columbia, TN;  two brothers:  Mr. Rudolph Armstrong, Lorraine, OH., Mr. Benjamin (Phyllis) Armstrong, Decatur, GA; four aunts:  Mrs. Idonia Tanner, Mrs. Martha Bivins, Mrs. Mary Lyman, Sandersville, GA, Mrs. Gertrude Brown, NY;  four brothers-in-law:  Mr. Donnie Devero, Mr. Darrell F. Brown, Mr. Glenn Darrisaw, Mr.  Issac Bivins;  four sisters-in-law:  Mrs. Janice Martin, Mrs. Ella A. Bivins, Mrs. Arlisa Darrisaw, Mrs. Brenda  Devero;  mother-in-law:  Mrs. Dorothy L. Devero; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
