Mr. Wayne A. Waters, age 78, of Davisboro passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Pruitt Nursing Home of Louisville following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 16 at 3:00 P.M. in the Wadley Cemetery. Pastor Weston Williford will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16 from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service in the Wadley Cemetery.
Mr. Waters was the son of the late Clarence Waters and the late Essie Mae Mismer Waters. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially in building the motors to racecars. Wayne loved to fish and dine-out with his wife, Sandra. In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, Huston Waters.
Mr. Waters is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Sheppard Waters; daughter, Jennifer Waters and her husband Eric Bloch of Texas; brother, Delane Waters and his wife Marie of Wadley; sister-in-law, Vicky Waters of Macon; nieces, Megan Waters, Meredith Waters, and Laurie Hutchins; and great-nieces, Ava Cliatt, Chelsea Waters, and Bailey Hutchins.
