Mrs. Fannie Shaw passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at 11:00 A.M. in the New Birth Christian Ministries with Senior Pastor Patrick Wilson, Sr. officiating.

Mrs. Shaw was born on July 11, 1948, in Sumter County, South Carolina to the late Mrs. Mable Shaw Richardson. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined the Goodwill United Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, sang in the gospel choir, and held a position on the usher board. Fannie would later move to Georgia to pursue a career in nursing and joined New Birth Christian Ministries, where she served as a member of The Golden Girls and in the Gospel Choir. Mrs. Shaw received her formal education from the Walker Gamble Middle School in New Zion, South Carolina and Grambling University in Grambling, Louisiana. She received her nursing degree from the Swainsboro Technical College. Fannie was widely recognized as a wonderful caretaker for many years.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by three daughters, Ms. Lashawna Burke, Ms. Mya Shaw, and Ms. Tierra Shaw; one son, Mr. Jonathan Shaw; one sister, Ms. Sally Anthony; one brother, Mr. Robert Shaw; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
