Mr. Horace Battle, formerly of Washington County, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Major H. Winfield Funeral of Steelton, Pennsylvania with Pastor Larry Colbert officiating.
Mr. Battle was born in Warthen, the son of the late Jim Battle and the late Nora Stevens Battle. Horace was a United States Army Veteran, retired from the former Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot.
Survivors include his wife, Henrietta M. Greene Battle of Steelton, Pennsylvania ; son, Ricky Battle of Steelton, Pennsylvania; daughters, Louise Buie of Sandersville and Carolyn Fields of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; sister, Willie Bell Morris of Sandersville; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
