
Mrs. Karen Ann Gibbs, age 66, of Holmes Cannery Road in Sandersville peacefully passed away at her home while surrounded by family on Monday, April 17, 2023. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 1:00 P.M. in the Arline-Bethel United Methodist Church of Wrightsville. Reverend Brant Kennedy and Reverend John Walker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the Arline-Bethel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Gibbs was born and reared in San Diego, California, to the late Harvey Rose and the late Betty W. Rose. She began her working career in Medical Administration prior to relocating to Washington County in 1993. Karen then worked as Media Specialist for Washington County High School until her retirement. Mrs. Gibbs was an active member of the Arline-Bethel United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School classes and leading a Grief Support Group. She was an avid reader of books. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ralph Gibbs.
Survivors include her children, Jake Rose and wife Kim of Harrison and Nicole Rose and partner Brice Marshall of Sandersville; grandchildren, Kylie Floyd, Renner Rose, Cole Marshall, Hunter Marshall, and Carmen Marshall; and sister, Lori Vaneepoel of Safety Harbor, Florida.
