Mrs. Kelli Bickham Wiggins, age 62, of North Linton Forest Drive in Sandersville passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church of Sandersville. Reverend Matthew Arnold and Mrs. Layne Kitchens will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wiggins was born in Sandersville, the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Ogelsby Bickham, Sr. and the late Edna “Billie” Lowery Bickham. She attended Middle Georgia College and Georgia Southern College, graduating with a degree in Psychology. Kelli then obtained a Nursing degree from Athens Technical College. Mrs. Wiggins began her working career as a Cardiac Critical Care Nurse at Athens Regional Hospital. She returned to Sandersville in 1995 to begin a lengthy career at Washington County Regional Medical Center – working as Director of the ICU, Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Manager of the Oncology Clinic. Kelli was regarded as an excellent medical specialist – her compassionate, upbeat nature endearing her to patients, colleagues, and friends. Mrs. Wiggins was a member of First Christian Church of Sandersville, serving as a Deacon and helping lead the Bread of Life Ministry. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Kelly Bickham.

Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, Stan Wiggins; sons, Bickham “Bick” Wayne Wiggins of Milledgeville and Wilson “Will” Clyne Wiggins of Milledgeville; siblings, Mimi B. Kicklighter and husband Roger, Robert “Bobby” O. Bickham, Jr., and James “Jim” E. Bickham; sisters-in-law, Lyn W. Wright, Donna W. McNair, and Kay G. Wiggins; and many loved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the First Christian Church of Sandersville Capital Account, P.O. Box 45, Sandersville, Georgia 31082, or to the donor’s charity of choice.
