Mrs. Lynne Frick Brooks, age 71, of Sandersville, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 following a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Brian Welch and Mr. Russell Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Charlotte NC, the daughter of the late Earl Frick and the late Elizabeth Goodman Frick. She retired from Mohawk Industries in logistics and also formerly worked for Sinclair-Oconee Homes. Lynne was a talented seamstress and loved anything to do with arts and crafts. Her greatest joy was family and supporting her children and grandchildren.
Survivors are; her husband, Wayne Brooks of Sandersville; children, Nikki B. Raughton and her husband Mike of Riddleville, J Brooks and his wife LaDonna of Glennwood and Chris Brooks and his wife Carly of Sarasota FL.; grandchildren, Kira Raughton and her fiancée Zack, Destiny Brooks and her fiancée Emory, Tyler Brooks, and Chase Brooks; great granddaughter, Ashlee Rix; and brothers, Billy Frick and his wife Darby of Jacksonville, FL., and Gene Frick and his wife Robin of Sarasota FL.
