Mrs. Dorothy Anne Dukes, age 77, of Davisboro, died on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Washington County Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 23, at White Oak Church with burial in White Oak Cemetery.  Reverend Dewey Henderson and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Tommy Cowart, Terry Cowart, Justin Cramer, Jason Prince, Trey Garrett, Al Alligood, A. J. Alligood, Aaron Prince and Josh Higgs.

Mrs. Dukes was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late James Benjamin Prince and the late Dorothy Mae Cowart Prince.  She was the wife of the late Albert Bryan Dukes.   Mrs. Dukes was a Graduate of Georgia College with a degree in nursing.  She was a registered nurse at Washington County Regional Medical Center for over thirty two years.  She was a member of White Oak Church.

Survivors include: a daughter, Claudia Anne Dukes McCoy and her husband Keith of Davisboro; a son, William Alfred Dukes and his wife Donna of Davisboro; four grandchildren, William Bryan Dukes, Tiffany Deanna Craven, Amber Jade McCoy and Jesse Dakota McCoy; three great grandchildren, Riley Nicole Craven, William Giles Dukes and Sadie Jane Dukes; a sister, Carolyn Prince Toman of Culloden; and a brother, Albert Prince and his wife Debbie of Rentz.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday December 22.
