Mr. Edward “Ned” West Daniel, age 89, of LaGrange, passed away on July 21, 2019. Mr. Daniel was born on November 24, 1929 in Sandersville, Georgia to the late James Hiram Daniel and Helen West Daniel. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for many years at Callaway Mills/ Milliken & Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Daniel Padgett.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Knight Langley Daniel; children, Elizabeth “Libba” Daniel Murray (Gene Lynch) of Orlando, Florida, Catherine “Cacky” Daniel McKenzie (Ray) of LaGrange, Sally Daniel Howard (Jim) of Macon; grandchildren, Christopher Edward Murray, Catherine “Katie” McKenzie Williams (Carter), Collier West McKenzie (Meredith) and Laura Howard Mundy (Stephen); great grandchildren, West, Harrison and Langley; extended family and friends.
Memorial services for Mr. Daniel will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. A reception will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Columbarium Fund, 207 N. Greenwood St., LaGrange, 30240.
