
Mrs. Faye Anderson Lord, age 81, of Tennille died on Friday, November 1, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 3, at Piney Mount United Methodist Church near Tennille with burial in Piney Mount Church Cemetery. Reverend Jimbo Dominey and Reverend Gary Griffin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dustin Lord, Jon Daniel Glover, Chip Lord, Ryan Durden, Corey Dyal, Caleb Dyal, Daniel Howell, Silas Howell and Adam Potter.
Mrs. Lord was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Elmer Gilbert Anderson and the late Mary Annie Tompkins Anderson. She attended Washington County Schools and Armstrong College. She was the wife of the late Owen Clessie Lord and was preceded in death by a son, Michael Owen Lord and a brother, Wayne Anderson. Mrs. Lord had worked for the Washington County Family and Children Service for ten years and had been a school bus driver and teacher for Brentwood School. She was a retired licensed real estate agent for Century Twenty-One Twin City Realty. Mrs. Lord had a true passion for music. She was a member of Piney Mount United Methodist Church where she served as pianist, choir director and in many other capacities for the church.
Survivors are a son, Steven Neal Lord and his wife Tina of Tennille; two daughters, Stacy Lord Howell and her husband Danny of Sandersville and Melissa Lord Soles and her husband Lanny of Tennille; two sisters, Linda Anderson Long of Hilton Head SC and Iris Anderson Thompson of Greenville TN; two brothers, Marion Anderson and Terry Anderson both of Sandersville; twelve grandchildren, Taylor Aarmour, Dustin Lord, Jon Daniel Glover, Chip Lord, Ryan Durden, Corey Dyal, Caleb Dyal, Daniel Howell, Peyton Howell, Silas Howell, Mallory Potter and Adam Potter; two great grandchildren, Caleb Lord and Ada James Armour; and a devoted care giver, Barbara Russell.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday.
