JACK “SWEETY” WALLER

Mr. Jack “Sweety” Waller, age 81, of Sandersville died on Sunday, February 16, 2020 in a Milledgeville Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mr. Waller will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 19 in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Randall Smith will officiate.

Mr. Waller was a native and lifelong resident of the Tabernacle Community near Sandersville.  He was the son of the late Richard Frank Waller, Sr. and the late Florrie Mae Tompkins Waller.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Frank Waller, Jr., William Waller, Ernest Webb Waller and Betty Waller Ennis. Though he was not able to graduate from school after he was thrown from the back of a school bus, he was able to work and provide for himself.  Jack was challenged by many obstacles and situations but lived a comfortable life.  He worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation.  He loved children, his family and friends very much.

Survivors are his sister, Emma Waller Rogers of Milledgeville, a brother, Mack Waller of Wills Point, Texas and many nieces and nephews who will miss him.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. Wednesday until the hour of service.

The family suggest donations be made to Church Treasure at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 7814 Ga. Hwy. 24 West, Sandersville, Ga. 31082.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
