Washington County Schools Locker Belongings Claim Information

The Washington County High School announced that students will be allowed to claim personal belongings from their on-campus lockers on Wednesday, May 6 from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.

In groups of 10 individuals or less, students will be allowed to enter the building. They must enter at the cafeteria of the school.

High school students will be given a maximum of 5 minutes to gather personal belongings from lockers. Social distancing must be practiced at all times while in the building.

Students may only gather belongings from lockers at this time. No individuals will be permitted in classrooms, the gym, locker rooms, or the weight room.

Textbooks were previously collected from lockers by staff members. The only items remaining in lockers are personal belongings. The Washington County High School states that 9th through 11th grade students will have the same lockers next year, and any belongings left in the lockers will be available to the students upon the return to school for the 2020 – 2021 school year.

The T.J Elder Middle School began locker “clean-outs” on Monday, May 4 with 6th grade students. 7th graders will be allowed to claim personal belongings from their lockers on Tuesday, May 5 from 7:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. 8th grade students, who will not be using the same lockers next school year, due to the advancement to high school, must claim all personal belongings from lockers on Wednesday, May 6 from 7:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The guidelines for high school locker “clean-outs” are being implemented at the T.J. Elder Middle School.
