Sandersville Fire Department Responds to Three Structure Fires in 10 Days

Sandersville firefighters have been extremely busy; they’ve responded to three structure fires in 10 days.

The most recent fire took place on East Church Street in Sandersville; firefighters extinguished a one-room fire. Assisting the Sandersville Fire Department were the Sandersville Police Department, Washington County Emergency Medical Services, and the City of Sandersville’s Electric Department.

According to the Sandersville Fire Department, the occupants of the house evacuated safely, and no one was injured.

One fire was determined to be arson; this fire was located on Floyd Street in Sandersville. An arrest was made following that incident.
