Barbara Cooke Weaver, age 68, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 31, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville, with burial in Brownwood Cemetery, also in Sandersville. Reverend Stan Littleton will officiate.
Bobbie, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Corbett H. Cooke and the late Julie Roughton Cooke. She was a graduate of Washington County High School, Class of 1970. She was a professional cake decorator for Publix.
Survivors are her daughter, Missy Cordry Beavers and her husband Eric of Piedmont, Alabama, a son, Chris Weaver and his wife Staci of Dallas, Georgia; five grandchildren, Aaron Deas, Robert Deas, Jason Deas, Brittany Beavers and Ashlyn Beavers; three great grandchildren, Emma Wells, Naomi Lewis and Wyatt Peek; a sister, Luanne Brooker and her husband John of Sandersville; and a great aunt, Jeanne Roughton of Sandersville.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Brookhill Rehab, P. O. Box 894, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Friday.
