Mr. Joe Duggan, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Brooklyn, New York. Graveside services were held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Jordan Grove Baptist Church, Davisboro, Georgia with Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating.
He was born on October 13, 1939 in Davisboro, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Will and Mrs. Mary Ella Duggan. He was the second of eight children. Joe worked for Miller’s Harness Company for forty years and enjoyed every day. He encouraged his children and grandchildren daily about the importance of having a good work ethic. He was preceded in death by two sons: Mr. Theodore Duggan, Mr. Joe Duggan, Jr.; one brother: Mr. Will Duggan, Jr.; three sisters: Ms. Eloise Duggan, Ms. Mary Savage, Ms. Willie Ruth Duggan; and a nephew: Mr. Walter Grant.
Mr. Duggan leaves behind a loving wife: Mrs. Annie Duggan, Brooklyn, New York; one daughter: Ms. Karen Jordan, Atlanta, Georgia; one son: Mr. Troy (Dean) Duggan, Louisville, Georgia; two sisters: Ms. Mary Duggan, Douglasville, Georgia,, Ms. Bessie Duggan, Sandersville, Georgia; two sisters-in-law: Ms. Juanita James, Brooklyn, New York, Ms. Essie Jordan, Louisville, Georgia; three brothers-in-law: Mr. Johnnie Savage, Bonneau, South Carolina, Mr. David Jordan, Mr. Jessie Jordan, Louisville, Georgia; grandchildren: Theodore (Gloria), K. Crowder, Anthony Ginyard, Keisha, Troy, Jr.; great grandchildren: Taya, Michelle, Tyliek, Taylor, Jeremiah, Jonah, Gabriel, Dion, Christian; great grandchild: Kymani; special great nephew: Jordan; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
