There is officially royalty among those in Washington County.

On Sunday, August 9, following three days of competition in Omaha, Nebraska, Allison Brown Wilkinson was recognized as Beauty of the Nations 2020.

The competition, designed to redefine the image of “beauty,” and set to highlight all aspects of all women saw international delegates contend in a variety of events. Contestants took part in personal interviews, displays of social media/community involvement, and showcases of swimwear, evening gowns, and unconventional dresses.

A Sandersville, Georgia native, Wilkinson represented her ancestry and the nation of Ireland during the pageant that spanned from Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9.

Wilkinson is a former winner of the United States Mrs. Eco Earth pageant in 2019.

Allison Brown Wilkinson is the owner and operator of the Queen of Bags Initiative, LLC., which is a non-profit organization that assists children in the foster care system. She is a devout advocate of assisting youth and families through the adoption process following a personal journey with her husband, Eric, to adopt their eldest son, Judson. The pair has one additional son, Tucker.

The Queen of Bags Initiative was created in 2016 to provide children in the foster care system with better means of transportation for personal belongings. Wilkinson explains that often times foster children are forced to use trash bags to carry possessions when entering the foster care system.

“I am driven by a single goal to do my part in making the world a better place for children in the foster care system one bag at a time,” says Wilkinson. “I depend on the generosity of friends and organizations across the world to help fund this initiative. With the public’s help, we can show children in the foster care system a little love and that things will get better.”

As the 2020 Beauty of the Nations, Wilkinson will promote the pageant motto of “Embrace, Engage, Educate, and Empower” for the next year.
