Mrs. Rosalyn Brittney Callaway, age 36, of Sparta passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11:00a.m. in Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Jerry Bradley will officiate.
Brittney was a 2002 graduate of Washington County High School and a 2010 graduate of Middle Georgia College with a degree in nursing. She had worked as a registered nurse for 10 years, most recently employed by Dr. Akhras at the Family Practice of Sparta. She loved spending time with her horses and her puppy dogs. Brittney is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Clayton Renfroe and her grandfathers, Johnny Renfroe, Jr. and Jimmy Ray Smith, Sr.
Brittney is survived by her husband of 4 years, Christopher Callaway of Sparta; father, Bobby Renfroe of Sandersville; mother, Cindy Tate and her husband Eddie of Mitchell; step brother Banks Tate of Augusta; grandparents, Ann Renfroe of Sandersville; Raines and Rosalyn Newberry of Macon; Parents-in-law, John Callaway and his wife Carol of Sparta and Teresa Callaway of Sparta, Grandparents-in-law, John and Bette Callaway of Sparta; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Friends may pay their respects in groups of ten or less on Sunday from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home.
