The deceased was identified as an 83-year-old white male with comorbidity.
As previously reported by WACO 100, the fourth COVID-19 related was reported by the Department of Public Health last week on Thursday, August 27. The deceased was identified as a 43-year-old African American female with comorbidity.
As of Wednesday, September 2, Washington County has seen a total of 616 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. The first case was reported in Washington County in March of this year.
The most recent report from the Department of Public Health notes that Washington County has seen 60 confirmed cases in the last two weeks.
Statewide, Georgia has seen a total of 274,613 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 as reported by DPH total 5,795.
