The Washington County Recreation Department (WCRD) is set to open enrollment for fall sports.
On Monday, August 31, the WCRD announced that co-ed flag football and co-ed soccer would be played during the fall season. Washington County Recreation Department notes that divisions will fall into the following age brackets: 5 – 6, 7 – 8, 9 – 10, and 11 – 12. The Recreation Department states that the age control date for co-ed soccer is August 1, 2020, while the age control date for co-ed football is September 1, 2020.
Registration periods for both sports will open on Tuesday, September 8 and remain open through Tuesday, September 29.
The cost of registration for co-ed football is $40.00 per child. The registration cost for soccer is $35.00 per child. If a player has a soccer jersey from the spring season, the cost of registration is lowered to $20.00 for fall soccer.
Fall football practices and games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, while fall soccer is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday evening practices and games.
The Washington County Recreation Department recommends the wearing of face masks for players and coaches during competition, but will not require face mask usage.
