
Mr. Van B. Dollar Jr., age 64 of Duluth, died Thursday, October 1, 202 at Piedmont Hospital following an extended illness. A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th at 2:00 P.M. in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Dewey Henderson will officiate.
Van was born and reared in Sandersville the son of the late Van Bunion Dollar Sr. and the late Frances Daniel Dollar. He graduated from Washington County High School and served his country in the US Air Force. Van returned home and began a lifelong career as an electrician beginning with Thiele Kaolin Company in Sandersville and lastly with the Gwinnett County Department of Water. Van loved riding his Harley and enjoyed NASCAR especially attending the Dayton 500. He and his wife Jan shared the joy of traveling together and loving their puppies Maggie and Zoey. Van is also predeceased by his son Daniel Dollar.
Survivors are his wife Janice R. Dollar of Duluth, children, David Dollar and his wife Crystal and Chris Dollar and his wife Mary all of Sandersville, Amanda Hall and her husband Marcus of Bonaire and Kayse Richards and Dani Richards of Greer SC. and grandchildren, Jacey Snell, Mollie Dollar, Cam Dollar, Ellie Dollar, Maxie Grace Dollar, Kaden Dollar, Skyler White, Devyn Hall and Tyson Hall.
